Dr. Walzer

Originally from Great Neck, New York, Dr. Walzer went to college at the State University of New York at Albany, where he received a B.A. in biology. Upon graduation, he continued his studies at Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis where he received his D.M.D. degree. After dental school he ventured back to Albany to do a one year General Practice Dental Residency at the Albany Medical Center Hospital and then practiced general dentistry in New York for the next two years. His interest centered around surgery and in 1980 he was accepted for a three-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Upon completing his surgical training, he moved to Annapolis and started his private practice. He became Board Certified by the America Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1989. His interests have centered around the treatment of patients with dental implants, the surgical correction of jaw and facial growth abnormalities and the surgical removal of wisdom teeth.

Dr. Sullivan

Raised in Oradell, New Jersey, Dr. Sullivan graduated from Villanova University receiving a B.A. in Pre-Med. In 1983 Dr. Sullivan received his D.M.D. degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. After a one-year internship at the University of Pennsylvania, he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, a “Level One” Shock-Trauma Center. Upon completing his residency, Dr. Sullivan entered private practice in Burlington, Vermont where he also served as Assistant Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Vermont. “Two cold years later” in 1989, Dr. Sullivan joined Dr. Walzer in Annapolis. He became Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1989. He is one of only 5 Maryland dentists who have achieved diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantology.

Dr. Hlousek

Born and raised in the Czech Republic, Dr. Hlousek started his education at the Charles University School of Medicine in Pilsen. His education continued in the United States at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia where he received his D.M.D. degree in 1993. After graduating from dental school he started his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. His training stimulated his interest in treating patients with dental implants, removal of wisdom teeth, correction of jaw deformities, cosmetic facial surgery and correction of cleft lip and palate. As part of his residency training Dr. Hlousek also completed studies at the School of Medicine in New Jersey and received his M.D. degree in 1996. Following this he completed a year of training in general surgery and gained additional experience in areas of cosmetic surgery, vascular surgery and trauma. To broaden his experience and provide needed medical and dental care, he also traveled to Columbia, South America with a team of doctors united under the organization “Healing the Children”. In the last year of his training he was a contributing author to a professional publication titled “Oral Surgery Secrets”. Dr. Hlousek joined doctors Walzer and Sullivan in 1999 and became board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2001

Dr. Jones

Dr. Jones was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and is the first generation son of Jamaican parents. He started his education at the University of Maryland at College Park where he received a BS degree in Neurobiology and Physiology. Dr. Jones continued his education at Howard University College of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S. degree in 2003. After dental school, Dr. Jones returned home to New York, where he completed a one year General Practitioner Residency at The Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Realizing that his passion lied in the surgical aspect of dentistry, Dr. Jones completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital in 2008. As part of his surgical training, Dr. Jones completed a craniofacial rotation with Dr. Jeffery Posnick, where he learned advanced techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of dentofacial deformities. Dr. Jones joined Drs. Walzer, Sullivan and Hlousek in 2008. He became certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2012
